Have you tried deleting the plugin cache? Check both of these
locations and delete any RB200x folder you find:
/Library/Application Support/
~/Library/Application Support/
I'm running RB 2006R2 on a MacBook Pro OSX 10.4.6 or 10.4.7 with no
crashing problems. I have most of the MBS plugins (either version
5.3 or 6.2, both worked), eSellerate 3.6.1, plus five Micono plugins
from 2001 in my plugin folder.
I have a friend who uses RB2006r2 on a MacBook with one of the
Einhugur plugins, also with no crashing problems.
