Sounds like a card which can't detect display presence.
Last time I checked screencount was 2 for two displays and 1 for one
display.

I have this problems on my old G4 and one of my users that have a
macbook, have the same problems.
And I also think i have the same problems on an older G3.

I have this code to check .... so if screencount works, the code also
should work, but do not.
if ScreenCount = 1 then
if ( w.Left + w.Width ) > Screen(0).Width then
w.left = Screen(0).Width - ( w.Width )
