Hi folks:
At the risk of starting a flame war (please, forgive me in
advance), has anyone here had any experience writing or working
with code that interacts with an IM network, such as AOL IM?
AOL apparently lets you freely develop and register bots for use on
their network:
http://developer.aim.com/botMain.jsp
The page also seems to include Java, C++ and Visual Basic sample
code to get you started.
So, if anyone has tried this, I'm interested in hearing your
experiences. Are there any gotchas or other points to consider?
Thanks in advance,
Ed
