Hi,
For some days i begin to try find some way to split my application
SEEdit to a 'Upgrade' and a 'Complete' application package. This
because NOT all have broadband, i think many is using a phone line ...
I have get some feature requests about this from my users.
First of all i could remove some pictures/images from my application
and move it to a support folder, but this is only about 1-1.5 MB.
Here is how it looks like today:
1 - my executable 7.1MB
2 - rbframeworks.dylib 2.8MB
3 - Tidy executable 844KB
4 - and some others
---------------------------------------------------
Total MacOS folder: about 11 MB
5 - Resoureces folder 1.9 MB
Total my app uncompressed 13MB
If i do this:
1 - Remove pictures/images from the executable - 1.5 MB
2 - Remove Tidy Executable - 1MB
3 - Remove Resources folder - 2MB
----------------------------------------------
Total - 4.5MB
13MB - 4.5MB = 8.5MB - I think this is not so much compared to what i
have to do and the work to handle 2 packages ..
Any ideas about this??
