Okay, you have ask about CONVERT...good if you have it. But what

if you do not have it? Write manually? Total PIA ....
It's the reality you deal with if you have to support more than a
single database.
Having had to previously write applications that ran on Oracle,
Sybase and MS SQL you dealt with it in one of several ways.
Sometime, if you dynamically created SQL you had to test for what
capabilities the driver or database had.
