Hi all,
I have created a console application containing a web server and
realsqldatabase - it is all working fine on OSX but I'm having
trouble getting it up and running on our Linux Server at our ISP.
[please forgive me if this is slightly off topic but it is RB related
and i'm sure that someone here will have the expertise to assist]
The issue I'm having is that the port my rb web server is using is
not responding on linux and I'm sure it has to do with the Red Hat
firewall software blocking the port but I just can't get the port open.
I've attempted to use /usr/sbin/lokkit to open the port but it still
wont connect.
I've even used /usr/sbin/lokkit and turned the firewall off but still
no success with our server - so I restarted and checked /usr/sbin/
lokkit again and the firewall is back on.
Are there any Linux gurus here who may be able to suggest how to open
a port on Red Hat to run a RB web server app.
Sorry to ask this slightly off topic question here but I have been
hunting hard to get this solved without any luck at this stage.
Cheers
Jeff
