It's the on the fly part that seems to be the problem... The first
assignment happens just fine ... the problem comes when you try to
assign a new icon or modify the current one...
I would have expected to be able to do this ... so the question is
is it a bug or a design were RS did not consider the some apps
need/use dynamic (contextual state dependant) icons?
Bug or feature request in other words?
It's a Bug and a Mac only bug because it works fine on Win2k (at
least in Virtual PC) <grrrrrr>
The problem is relating to modifying and/or reassigning the same
picture to the icon property on the Mac. The crashing goes away if
you create a new picture each time you change the icon
Also more strange behavior ... certain colors light/bright colors
(like yellow) don't show up on the icon on the Mac side (10.4.7
PPC) but do on Win2k...
I think they may be there but just very light as if masked as when
inactive... Intermediate darker shades of some colors appear lighter
to my eye, while the very dark shades look the same... There is
definitely a problem with colors with menu Icons on OSX
