Automatic trash management.
YUBA CITY, CA (July 24th, 2006) >> Bains Software today announced the
immediate availability of Rubbish v1.3.1, an update to it's unique
trash manager for Mac OS X. Rubbish deletes files after they've been
in the Trash for a specified period of time, anywhere from an hour to
a month. In addition, it doesn't allow you to delete files
prematurely; files will be deleted on schedule only.
When you drag a file to the Trash, Rubbish will intercept the file
and leave an alias in the Trash. When you empty the Trash, the alias
is deleted, but the original file remains intact.
Basically, Rubbish protects you from yourself. It allows you to
rescue recently trashed files, and you don't have to change your
workflow - you can continue to do things the way you always have.
This version improves performance and stability.
Rubbish is $20 shareware, and registration reminders will appear
periodically until a license is purchased.
