I guess, since this is really just changes being made the registry,
documenting the creating of file associations on Windows could be
covered in the RegistryItem documentation. This process is not handled
very well in other languages either, you usually just have to figure it
out or find examples.
I'm glad you are having success and the answer will be in the archives
for posterity. (even if it does include a spurious line of code: exten =
new RegistryItem( "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT" ) ;)
