Hello, REALbasic 2006 Release 3 Commercial Professional Edition Mac OS X 10.4.7
Just for the fun (and it appears useful), I added drag and drop functionality to a HTMLViewer Control. It worked fine until I get tired to open / close some folders to drag some html files.
I decided to create an alias to one main html from folder #2 in its parent folder. I tested it and get in trouble: the window is white!
I added a MsgBox to report the FolderItem URLPath (what I use) _AND_ the AbsolutePath (as a check), run the project and drop an alias (to a valid html file) twice: once from the parent directory, the second time from the directory where the original lives.
Same results: the alias is not resolved. I get the alias pathname, not the pathname to the original file.
I do not think that this is an intended behavior, but after so many years I work with a computer, I already things like that: an old technology that takes time (by their developer) to come in the application (both OS: Mac OS X and Windows, I don't remember for Linux).
Thanks for your input, Emile _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
