So thank you Christian and Jon,
I am fairly certain that you are right Jon that is is an issue with
REALSQLDatabase, the problem and the reason I did not find it in
searching my code is that I believe that the reference in is an
encrypted class (from the developer classes of On-Target Reports)
I guess is I need to evaluate my use of those classes or see if there
is a way to remove just that aspect from the classes (or ask the
Aaron about that) I would hate to have to maintain another codebase
with reporting removed for Classic (it is for a school district
application that is still running a lot of machines in os 9)
Thanks

I thought that as well or that maybe I had a call to the rbDB or
sql lite , (based on my search of the archives), but the section
of code that calls the shell in this app is used in another that
shares (via external classes) the same block that is conditionally
compiled.
It's the REALSQLDatabase plugin.
