My only real complaint with RB2006 is that it is so slooooow. I often find myself going back to RB 5.5.5 when starting a new project, because it lets me work so much more efficiently and quickly. I can flesh out most of the details there, and then switch to RB2006 when I am close to done.
You must remember that much of the speed in later 5.5 versions was gained by optimizing the code. In 2006, it still hasn't been stable long enough to focus on optimization and the efforts right now are directed towards developing UB and Cocoa.
I'm not on a terribly slow machine, 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. I also have a new Intel iMac with 1.5 GB, but it is even worse under Rosetta. It will be interesting to see how the UB builds of RB itself run, whenever they come out. I'd really like to see a round of improvements to the performance of the IDE, it needs it.
These will come in time. On my G5 2.0 GHz iMac it's almost as fast as 5.5.5 except for a slightly longer boot time. But then the RB 5.5.5 version is only 32.5 MB vs 129 MB for 2006r3. :)
