Very Off Topic - but only briefly. I want to contribute SOMETHING to
you guys - since you've been so much help to me!
To educate non-unix folks, you could also use the Terminal and do this:
1. If you haven't recently updated your locate database - type the
following (the $ is just the prompt - don't type it!):
$ sudo /usr/libexec/locate.updatedb
Password: (type you system admin password here)
(wait for a looong time while it builds the database of all of your
file names)
$ locate httpd.conf (or any other file you're looking for)
OR
for finding executable files (programs, etc):
$ whereis apachectl
For more info type:
$ man locate
OR
$ man whereis
To quit man pages type "q".
Hope that helps some folks.
Regards,
Stephen

Anyone know where Tiger (10.4) keeps the httpd.conf file? It used
to be in /etc/httpd.conf on Panther, but a Spotlight search doesn't
turn up any files with this name. Is Apache now using a different
file name for that under Tiger?
