It appears I've solved my problem that I wrote about just moments ago. As usual it appears to have been a stupid oversight.
Setting the binarystream's position to 0 before writing to it seems to fix the problem. Sorry for wasting bandwidth on that part of it. But I still don't understand the issues regarding the LastErrorCode.
