I could imagine, if you delete the RB prefs file while RB is open,
that RB saves the settings in the prefs file when you quit (or is
it if you go to "preferences" and hit OK?). This may not save
recents file again!?
I wouldn't do that as the preferences file is usually checked both at
startup and quitting; creating a new one if it doesn't exist. If you
delete it during running it will simply re-create the last one from
memory. If you do it with Rb *not* running, it will create a new
default one.
This is in 2005 and up. The clue will be you will see the EULA on
startup.
In 5.5.5 you *can* delete the REALbasic Recent Items folder and it
will stay empty until you open a project or save a new one.
