Several months work is starting to unravel. One big issue I need
help on. It seems folderitem.count returns 0 on audio cd's and
therefore can't read the CD directory. Is this an OS problem or RS
problem? Are there any known workarounds? Help!
I think it's an RB issue - at least on OS X
Bug reported as
Windows does not mount the CD as a "volume" that you can normally see
(that's an MS issue) so you can't fault RB for that.
However, on OS X you can still get to the files just NOT in the usual
ways
This is a bit of a pain but it does work
On OS X you can simply do something like
dim v as FolderItem
dim f as folderitem
dim i as integer
v = Volume(2) // in my case my audio CD mounted as volume 2
do
f = v.item(i)
if f is nil then
exit
end if
// at this point F points to a valid folder item ON the audio CD
listbox1.addrow f.AbsolutePath
i = i + 1
loop
