How about using a BevelButton. It allows positional Icons, colored
text/icons and looks similar on most platforms. It can react just like
a pushbutton and the Icon can be something as simple as an asterisk, a
checkmark, a Star, an "X", a bullet, etc.

As I said in the original post, we just like the way push buttons look
on that particular screen. It looks like we will have to move to bevel
buttons.
