I've come across a big problem that could stuff up my whole current
project if I can't fix it. My client has decided that all his
screens must have a background image. I try to talk him out of it,
but no go.
So, easy I think, just set the backdrop and away we go. We Ok that's
the theory and documentation. Well, doing this gives you white boxes
around controls such as Radio controls etc, which looks stupid.
Well, I do some more research and find that maybe I need to set the
Compsite parameter on the Window options. Aha, that seems to work
fine on my Mac, however I'm building this app for Windows and when it
runs on Windows the stupid boxes come back.
To me this seems like a really basic bug with Real Basic, or is there
something else I should be doing? The background image is a pretty
simple concept and having see through controls on it again pretty
straight forward and something everyone must want to do at some stage?
I now have an urgent project to complete and I've no idea how to do
it. I really can't believe that it doesn't work at all for Windows?
I do hope not or I'm in trouble, it looks totally stupid with the
boxes around controls. Mind you, last time I had a problem there
wasn't an answer! Yikes...
Any help? Desperate....
