As it turns out part of Mr. Glass' issue was a typo in the FTP Suite
manual (Page 20):
PassiveMode As Boolean
When set, all FTP operations will take place with the server in the
passive mode. The default setting is False (active mode).
This is wrong, the default is True. So you need to use
"Self.FTPSession.PassiveMode = False" if you need Active mode. This
is a very old typo. It's never come up before because PASV is used
almost exclusively because it is safer.
