Try to check you database with SQLiteManager to see if it is corrupted:

and VACUUM it is always a good idea.

I am beginning to think that perhaps the database has somehow become
corrupted. That might explain both the original problem (not adding
records in the compiled version) and the new one (the error with the
SQLSelect in the IDE). I have renamed the datbase file and rerun the
program, which creates a new database. I am not getting the error with
it. I may have to rebuild my database from old records. (several
expletives deleted!)
