Try to check you database with SQLiteManager to see if it is corrupted: http://www.sqlabs.net/sqlitemanager.php and VACUUM it is always a good idea.

That might explain both the original problem (not adding records in the compiled version) and the new one (the error with the SQLSelect in the IDE). I have renamed the datbase file and rerun the program, which creates a new database. I am not getting the error with it. I may have to rebuild my database from old records.
