Yes, it certainly has to do that. The question is whether it translates it into a vector PICT or a raster PICT. Unlike SaveAsPicture, there is no opportunity here for you to tell RB which you prefer. But keeping it in vector form would certainly be the sensible thing, since you could always convert it to raster yourself if that's what you want.
