Yep - those old basics, 6502/z80 et al still apply today . In reality not much has really changed beyond recognition, so much reinvention of the same old wheel goes on- yet another language - yet another variation on the same old string and drawing commands, things get rehashed and put out as brand new things. I am envious in many ways of those guys who just stayed with C and could gradually build on their existing knowledge rather than have to switch to the latest flavour of the month - another language mousetrap - ( uh oh - im ranting .. )
