I agree, the RAM issue is detailed quite well on this page if anyone wants to read it:

What kind of Ram do you have? Your description is a perfect symptom of bad/incompatible/overheating ram.

Got my Pro today -

But..... My built in Airport Extreme seems very slow and iffy in
connecting to the wi fi network. I have an existing broadband wi fi
connection which with my Powerbook was fine. In the same room and very near
to the Mac Pro the difference in download speed between the Pro and
Powerbook is very noticeable- the Powerbook being miles faster-

Anyone else seeing this ?

If ONLY your Airport is a problem, consider yourself one of the lucky ones.

Over 2GB of RAM, apps crash, kexts get confused and kernel panic (three distinct systems)

Default software load - hidden Apple boot partition can "disappear" - POOF, no more booting ... We've had to reinstall after doing a long erase of the boot disk on 2 of our systems.

Once you start getting exit crashes on any app, the only solution that we've found is a full reboot.

Also, you'll notice that the Mac Pro OS X build is 10.4.7 8K1079 while all of the other Intel units we have are 10.4.7 8J2135. It appears that the Mac Pro is running the same build level as Server rather than Desktop.

To keep things on topic (a bit) - the existing RB 2006r3 crashes on exit if you've been running in the debugger (doesn't on the iMac or Mac Mini Intel ...).

I will agree that they're FAST, but you probably grok the frustration :( we've felt since these things arrived in this email.
