Try my app Container, www.studlar.net

I use einhugur stylegrid and objectarray, and graphic plugin.

Just keep one thing in mind, I do read the whole picture into memory along with the thumbnail, so it slows the program down considerably, it has been fixed in a unreleased version.

Hello,

i´m working on a application with a List of pictures to edit. Drag and drop 1-100 of pictures (.jpg, .gif,.png ...) into my app. Then my app will generate a Thumbnail(100*75) of each picture.

I tried a lot of ways to do that.

1. ListBox
This should be the best way to do a Listing. On Picture Drop on the Listbox, the fileitems are read an add the filename, filesize and picture size to the listbox row. The problem is to generate the Thumbnail. At small pictures i´m able to do it at the DropObject like reading the filename,.... But if i have more pictures larger than 500kB, this is not possible. It needs to many time to process the hole list, without displaying a result. My first plan was, only read the names and sizes. On the 2nd step start a thread at the end of reading all files and generate the Thumbs. But it seems not possible to insert this generated thumbs to the accurate row of ListBox?

2. Use a own List of Canvas and Textfields
But this should also not possible to add this objects in runtime?

Did anybody know a solution for this problem?
To add pictures in a displayed ListBox?
To get a reference number of a folderitem to point to later?

Thank for help
