CROSS-PLATFORM STYLED-TEXT HELP SYSTEM AUTHORING APPLICATION RELEASED
The PandaWare Company is pleased to announce the release of Simple Help Editor 1.0, a complete help authoring system for developers who create applications with Real Software's REALbasic. Simple Help Editor includes a complete editing application for creating styled text pages, and a Help window project for easily incorporating the help system into any REALbasic application. Simple Help Editor is available in versions that run in Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows 2000, ME and XP. The trial version gives users complete access to all features for 30 days. Licenses which unlock the application for unlimited use may be purchased for $25.00 per user. A single license may be used for both the Macintosh and Windows version. Power tools Simple Help Editor offers a number of tools for creating cross-platform help systems with consistent styling. These include a glossary for storing frequently used terms, and a Quick Style feature for applying text styles consistently. The application also offers a batch font change feature to quickly convert a help system created for one operating system to use fonts for a different operating system. Other tools help authors easily repurpose their work.
