The PNG Utilities plugin for REALbasic 5.5 and greater provides a
simple interface to load and save PNG format images while
automatically handling transparency information. Methods are provided
to deal with PNG data stored in strings, which is ideal when saving
or retrieving images from databases, virtual volumes, or other
packages such as zip archives.
Version 1.8b2 contains fixes and improvements for all platforms and
is a recommended update despite being labelled a beta. This release
also builds for Universal Binary / Mac Intel targets supported by the
upcoming REALbasic 2006r4 release. Please note that Mac Intel support
is largely untested (I don't have an Intel Mac). If anyone would like
to spearhead fixing any remaining Mac Intel bugs please contact me
off-list - C and Xcode knowledge would be helpful.
PNG Utilities is free and open source and compiles for all REALbasic
