Question 1)

If so, is there a way of splitting the workload in an app across CPUS ?

You have to run OS native, preemptive threads to do work simultaneously across multiple CPUs and/or cores. There's a toolkit for preemptive threads
available at my web site.

I won't be releasing an update to address Intel Macs until RS releases
RB2006r4. I'm not in the beta program so I can't test my own work until I
have that. (Which should be...today! :-)
