I am populating one element of an array of structures that has been
properly defined as a string with the following line:
gas(i).szGasName = ConvertEncoding(rs.field
("szGasName").value,Encodings.UTF8)
later on I am reading out that string with the following line:
szGas = defineencoding(gas
(wGasNumber).szGasName,Encodings.UTF8)
On MacOS, the string looks great, but on Win32 there are extra
'garbage' characters, padding out the end of the string, to its fixed
length.
I've experimented with using "Encodings.WindowsANSI" and
"Encodings.ASCII" and "Encodings.WindowsLatin1", etc, but still get
the garbage characters.
Any ideas?
