Shouldn't the sqlexecute line look like the following to get the single quotes in there properly along with the contents of the editfields etc.

db.sqlexecute ("Insert into users (username,password,priority) Values "_ +"('" + editfield1.text + "','" + editfield2.text + "','" + popgroup + "')"

It is often easier to build the command in a string so that it can be viewed in the debugger in those cases where it isn't working.
