I've updated my SearchFieldToolbarItem. It now includes a
TextChanged event (when running in MacOS 10.4) and a new property
SearchIcon as Boolean. Setting this property to true displays the
search icon.
SearchFieldToolbarItem is a REALbasic class that provides an
HISearchField for toolbars in MacOS X applications; it supports
universal binaries. It's free, though I don't turn down money from
people and companies using it in for-profit applications.
