I like my Mac pro too - particularly for my music making apps which can
make good use of those multiple CPUs - the fan is nicely quiet. And music
apps and virtual instruments seem to run without hitches and big latencies.

Still waiting for 100% of the music apps I use to go UB.

Xcode was also much quicker "which was nice". And I totally love that
aluminium casing design. ( Makes a good foot rest too :) )

Although having said all that, my machine is back with the service guys -
the fan was making a soft helicopterish ticking noise ( noted by many on the
Apple forums ) and my Airport Express wi-fi was extremely "iffy". ( also
noted by many on the forums ). I wasn't looking forward to having to move
back to the Powerbook in the mean time, but actually havent found it too
bad, except for the one "batch" type job I need to run around once a day,
that used to take around an hour on the Mac Pro...
