That is true.

One option is to use a popup window like REALbasic uses for the Autocomplete list; and I think that is just a PlainBox window that gets hidden or destroyed when you select an option or the window becomes inactive (like when another window is selected). But you might have to use a Floating Window and use Windows Functionality Suite to remove the titlebar and borders to get the window to appear like a popup instead of window (I seem to remember that the main window gets disabled when you activate a PlainBox window).
