One of RB strengths is being able to WYSIWYG layout (though that si getiing
less attension these days IMO)... I thinky it shoud be availble in teh regular
IDE without a special pevoew mode (but with perhaps a way to turn it off for
classes in development)
And besides canvas based controls this could be useful configuring subclasses
of built in controls using computed properties in the property pane and more
importantly for contaiber controls (if we could configure it;s poeprties to
show up in teh peoperties pane ... rigt now we can not for some reason IIRC).

WYSIWIG layout is IMO VERY important to a RAD product....

But all of that woudl mean allowing the execution of user code in the IDE and
at least some within RS are strongly opposed to to that as they feel IDE
crashes caused by user code would be blamed on RS and make people think RB is
buggier than it is...
Although I can understand it, I have to admit i find that an annoying attitude
( and in some ways paternal) and disagree with it because of how important I
believe being able to do WYSIWYG layout is.
