More accurately, it's 20.6% faster.

Subject: Faster than i=i+1
Funny thing... while breaking my head over a counter incrementer that
wouldn't suffer from overhead of a function call, while still being faster
than peforming i=i+1, I found out that using
i = i - - 1
is actually about 10% faster (on Windows) than
i = i + 1
Is that weird or what?
