Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the iDisk provided with a
.Mac subscription has a ton of, if not unlimited bandwidth.
I use my iDisk to serve the big files available on my website [
http://www.kellerfarm.com ] - the rest of the files barely make a
dent in my bandwidth limit on the actual kellerfarm.com server.
Andrew Keller
The bandwidth is large but not unlimited. I recently updated my
freeware SuperCard Physics projects to Universal, giving a 6.4 MB
download size. So far, just on VersionTracker and MacUpdate, there
have been more than 1,500 downloads.
In early September I received in an email from Apple:
"Please be aware that you've exceeded 75% of your .Mac data transfer
quota for the current period. At the current rate you may exceed your
quota, especially if you have received this email towards the start
of a two-week monitoring period (the 1st or the 16th of the month).
If this happens, access to your site(s) will be turned off. For
details on your current data transfer usage, click here."
So I paid extra money to keep from being turned off.
