Talking about crashes, I don't know if this has been mentioned
already, but RB2006 R4 shutdown when I change a tab name on the Tab
Panel control. It actually happens after I press the OK button on
the dialog box. I added this issue to RealBasic FeedBack system. You
can get to it by clicking this link http://www.realsoftware.com/
feedback/viewreport.php?reportid=quuxbtdt. The only workaround I have
found is to save off the project as a version control and then edit
the file that contains the tab panel control. I successfully change
the tab name with a few other minor problems. Though, trying to
change it in R3 caused most of my controls on that Tab panel to get
scattered to all the tab (nice). I hope this helps.

After reading Joe's message, I downloaded the PPC-only version of
the IDE to run on my dual 2.3 GHz G5. So far, two days with no
crashes.
Using the UB version, I'd get a couple of crashes an hour, mainly
when opening project items and compiling, but nothing I could
reliably reproduce.
That is odd, since I would have thought that the PPC and UB version
running on a PPC machine would be identical. But now that I think
about it, I remember that the PPC version is a PEF bundle and the
UB is Mach-O.
