Press Release for My Money Minder 1.9

SYDNEY, Australia (October 23rd 2006) - Ben's Software today announced the release of My Money Minder 1.9 for MacOS X.

My Money Minder is the easiest way to manage your personal finances! It allows you to easily keep track of all your expenses, income and bank account balances. All your data can be quickly viewed in either a spreadsheet-style grid or as a Line, Bar, Pie or Area graph. Whether you already have existing personal finance data stored electronically or just beginning, My Money Minder can get you going quickly. Once you have entered your tax rate (so your Sales Tax, GST or VAT can be calculated automatically) and start of financial year into the Preferences new entries are entered via a single dialog. To make entering data faster My Money Minder remembers the last 100 unique items you have typed into the name field and these can be selected from an autocomplete list. So you can easily summarize your finances, entries are organised into an unlimited number of user defined Categories (e.g Pay, Rent, Groceries) which are further organised into Groups (e.g Home, Work, Holidays). Methods of payment, such as Cash, Credit Card or Cheque can also be tracked. If you already have your data in Quicken (QIF), QFX, OFX, OFC (MS Money), CSV or TSV formats you can quickly import these into My Money Minder (4500 entries takes just over a minute on a G3 iMac). You can also export your data (all or you can select a date range) to any of the above formats.

New Features:
- Universal Binary
- Importing of QFX files
- Importing Categories from QIF files
- Added Dutch and Japanese localisations
- Improvements to other localisations
- Preferences made more robust
- New Serial Number system
- Editing entries does not move them to the last item for the date
- Added Move Up/Down for entries
- Added ProxyIcon menu
- Revised icons and row badges

Bug Fixes:
- No longer attempts to save to a locked volume
- Quitting from an error is more reliable
- Scheduled Entry Amount and Tax values work correctly on systems which use , as the decimal separator
- Graphs no longer cause crashes when the graph area is too small

My Money Minder requires a Mac running Mac OS X v10.1 or greater. v1.7 can also run on Mac OS 8.5/9 with the Carbon Library v1.1 or higher installed.
