Hello,
I have some UPnP code here somewhere, but most routers come with UPnP
disabled, so it doesn't make things completely automatic. The user
still has to find the setting in the router's web interface and turn
it on. I'll see if I can find it and send it along.
Also, Airport eschews UPnP for Apple's own protocol(forget what it's
called). I don't have an Airport, but I have skimmed through the RFC,
and it didn't look too hard to implement. I'm pretty sure Apple
provides a library to tap into the feature, so you could probably
just persuade Christian to add the functionality to his MonkeyBread
plugin.
Thanks,

Hi All,
If you have an RB web server app which runs on a port - lets say
port 5555 - clients often need to use port forwarding in their
router to send these requests to the machine hosting the app/
server. This is easy for some and near impossible for other users
to get their head around router config and port forwarding etc.
Is there any way of making it easier? Can UPnP be used to
automatically configure the router for them (if their router
supports UPnP of course)? If so, does anyone have any sample UPnP
RB examples?
Thanks
Jeff
