You could put a canvas in the edit field and set the edit field as the canvases parent and the canvases index to zero and really tiny like 1 pixel by 1 pixel. If you then dropped a picture on the edit field you could then clone the canvas and set the canvas to the picture size and display it. You would have to handle wrapping text around the canvas and that could be problematic.
