I have that happen after I've been using the IDE for awhile. If I just load a project, and click Build, it doesn't hang. But if I've done a few 'Runs' and then do a Build, it will most likely hang. I don't have any plugins.

I haven't had it the plugin compile, but numerous times on the build in previous 2006 versions. Seems to have died down in r4, although I still see it once or twice. Haven't ever figured out any connection between occurrences.
