You may notice that menu handlers return a Boolean. Returning true
tells Rb that the menu selection has been handled. Returning false
tells REALbasic to call the next menu handler in the calling chain,
that chain being control -> window -> application.
If you fail to specify a return value, then false is returned by
default. Usually this doesn't matter, but if you have more than
one menu handler for a menu item -- say one in the window and one
in the application object -- then it certainly does matter.
Entering a return statement is then mostly a matter of coding
discipline.
Thanks for that explanation...I will try and be disciplined in the
future!! :-) ( I actually think it may matter in may case...I will
make the appropriate changes)
