Make sure that the bundle has an identifier.

Bundle Identifiers are "required." Since the invention of the
Bundle, the Info.plist should always have contained a
"CFBundleIdentifier" key. This value is a unique identifier for your
bundle in "reverse-DNS" notation. This means "com.apple.itunes" is
iTune's bundle identifier, and "com.realsoftware.realbasic" is
REALbasic's bundle identifier. The general rule is (com, org,
edu).company name.product name. Before REALbasic 2006r3, you would
need to manually add this to your plist after building your
application. However, now it's as simple as editing the "Bundle
Identifier" property on the App class in your project.
So why is this "required"? Try this: Get info on your application
and select, "Open in Rosetta." Close the window, and get info again.
It doesn't keep the setting. Apple has began using this identifier
to store meta-data such as this setting. Without a bundle
identifier, these behaviors just aren't possible

Rename or duplicate it works for me.

Copy and paste the application in the Finder? I tried that and it
didn't help.

I just got a new Intel iMac, so I decided to try the UB version of
2006R4 and build one of my applications as a Universal Binary with it.
When I did so, it shows up in the Finder with a generic application
icon. This does not happen when I build it with RB 5.5.5, which I have
been using for this application prior to this. Rebooting my Mac did
not make a difference. Is this a known problem or have I overlooked
something?

This is a known problem, a workaround is to select your compiled
bundle and then Copy and Paste
