Hey all -- I sent this yesterday but I don't think it went through...
sorry if you get this twice.

Hey there!
What I'm trying to do is use a slider to scan through database
records. I want to provide a small preview of the record while
sliding using LiveScroll and then load the full record when I let go
of the slider.
Everything's working fine, though at first I forgot that I need to
return TRUE in the MouseDown event of the slider in order for MouseUp
to fire (I call the record loading code in there).
However, now that I'm returning TRUE, the slider no longer moves. I
read something in the archives about how "By returning true in
MouseDown, we tell RB that we'll be handling all the mouse activity
ourselves", which is fine, I guess, if it's true. Is it? If so, can
anyone tell me a good way to start this? Do I have to do some sort
of division of the height of the (vertical) slider by the maximum of
the slider as it pertains to the mouse position? It seems overly
complicated to have to rewrite all of the code just so I can use
MouseUp.
Any takers?
Ian
