Mate, don't be so cynical - leave that to us Brits ;) we're the kings at it... But seriously, point taken re ElfData but RS will have to address this at some time, and things can change - staff, attitudes and priorities change. Don't forget RS have had to deal with two major recoding exercises - the rewrite in RB plus the Intel transition ( cocoa hopefully will be out of the way soon too ), so there ought to be more time for this stuff.
Another factor is that RB may not continue to be the only Cross-platform player "in town" - arguably RBs major selling point -once other competition enters it will be important to be able to compete in terms of performance - especially in the ubiquitous area of string operations.
