If anyone wants to see my demo of ElfData running 5x faster than
perl, well you gotta email me personally. I'll send it right away. It
does require the latest plugin from my website. And I've tested it on
my iMac g5, not any other platforms.
I'll put out the public demo on Monday.
After all, you don't get to see the results of genius without a
little bit of effort, eh? I mean, even emailing my PerlCompare.rb
project to you is me doing an extra favour by allowing you to witness
some of my grace, at all. I just don't really like giving stuff to
the unappreciative, that is all.
I got the 5x speed thing, by using a disk read block setting of 512KB
btw. Otherwise it's only around 4x faster.
And finally, I'll be speeding up my ElfDataFields class for the next
version of ElfData. ElfDataFields is doing most of the work in this
project.
I'll bet even a C coder would have a hard time beating me, then!
