From 2006 Release 2 release notes:

[Fix] [Win] Font support: The System font now reports back the proper
system font on all versions of Windows. For Vista and up,
this is Segoe UI, for Windows 2000 and up, this is Tahoma,
and for below Windows 2000, this is MS Sans Serif.(Feedback

In moving a project from RB from 5.5 to 2006R4 on Windows, a lot of
fonts for controls in StaticText controls appear to be larger than
they were before. In particular, using a font size of 15 in RB used
to produce a font that looked like font size 12, but now it appears to
be more like 15 in Windows. I thought the above release note might
shed some light on what is going on.

I think in the past, the System font (at size 15) was based on MS Sans
Serif. But since this fix, it is now picking up Tahoma. Is this what
we should expect when looking at the interface when moving from RB5.5
to 2006R4 on Windows. I am unsure why the font looks a lot larger
though for font size 15. Maybe there was another change.

I am trying to work out how to best deal with this interface font problem.

Thanks in advance

Paul
