As a vendor of database technology Valentina (http://www.valentina-db.com) I have to say that at first I was a bit concerned about RB SQL. Some of our customers I know have tried and used it, and some of them think its good enough for some of their projects. But, recently we've been hearing back from a number of customers who are not happy with it, especially in handling graphics and large database files. RB SQL is based on SQLite - SQLite is a competent enough database but it wasn't really built with any goal in mind other than being a competent local database. If that's all you really have planned and tight coupling with the RB IDE is critical, then its good enough. But if have something that needs to be scalable, then it pays to think ahead.
