I've isolated the problem: if I add only 26 sounds to the project
window, all is fine. As soon as I add a 27th one, I get this
assertion message. Is it a resourceFork issue (duplicated resources)?
Does RB has some "snd " resources?
RB doesn't have any; rather, it sounds to me like you're simply
exceeding the amount of data that can be stored in a resource fork.
The IDE should detect and report this condition more gracefully (I'd
suggest a bug report), but there's not much we could expect it to
actually do about this. You'll have to use smaller sounds, or store
them elsewhere. (In my games I usually just put them in a folder next
to the app... commercial games often do the same thing, so I don't
think most users are at all bothered by it.)
Thanks Joe.
I'm using 31 sounds of less than 10 seconds (often 1 second) of
length. ResourceForks are limited!_______________________________________________
