Anyone out there using the HTMLViewer control under Linux builds?
I've built a simple tool for in-house use and it works perfectly on
Mac and Windows, but fails on Linux. After digging around, we
uncovered that the Linux app needs the libgtkhtml version 3.0 instead
of the expected (and currently default) 2.0.
I've tested on FC4, 5, and 6, SuSE 10.x, Ubuntu 6.1, VectorLinux 5.8,
PCLinux 9.3 and the result is the same on all - the version of
libgtkhtml installed is 2.x and the resulting app crashes. Upon
installing libgtkhtml 3.0, the app runs, but clickable links and
login actions are dead. No error is produced that we can uncover on
either end.
