I'd just like to thank everyone for their recent suggestions on speeding up my sort! As it turned out, not only were there places with simple fixes like eliminating unnecessary IF/THEN/ELSE structures, I also had a data structure that was over-complicated that made simply getting data to and from it take ridiculous amounts of work. I've learned a lot in this last week, everyone here has been great!
